Our fellowship offers a unique and immersive experience, providing aspiring surgeons with the chance to work alongside accomplished professionals in a state-of-the-art medical environment. The Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship represents an intensive one-year advanced surgical training opportunity tailored for Doctors of Podiatric Medicine who have successfully completed an accredited residency program. Under the mentorship of esteemed attending physicians, including Dr. David Waters and Dr. Joshua Wray, our fellows immerse themselves in refining advanced foot and ankle surgical skills. This elective year of additional training is designed for DPMs dedicated to elevating patient care and surgical proficiency to the highest echelons. The fellowship’s primary focus is on reconstructive surgery, encompassing training in Total Ankle Replacements, 3D Printed Custom Implants, Scopes, and more. Beyond surgical expertise, fellows also receive specialized training in clinical settings, including patient care, clinic scheduling optimization, and advanced billing and coding. The program offers a unique advantage, allowing fellows to travel across multiple locations in Wichita Kansas, working under different surgeons and engaging with a diverse patient population. ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

The Foot & Ankle Surgeons of Kansas Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship presents a comprehensive one-year advanced surgical training program tailored for Doctors of Podiatric Medicine who have successfully completed an accredited residency. Under the guidance of respected attending physicians such as Dr. David Waters and Dr. Joshua Wray, our fellows engage in an immersive experience aimed at honing advanced foot and ankle surgical skills.
This elective year of additional training is specifically crafted for DPMs committed to advancing both patient care and surgical expertise to the highest standards. The fellowship places a primary emphasis on reconstructive surgery, providing training in areas such as Total Ankle Replacements, 3D Printed Custom Implants, Scopes, and more. In addition to surgical proficiency, fellows also undergo specialized training in clinical settings, covering aspects such as patient care, clinic scheduling optimization, and advanced billing and coding.

We take pride in catering to numerous locations in Wichita Kansas, with a significant focus on rural communities. Fellows will be presented with the chance to collaborate with patients from diverse backgrounds, each with unique concerns. Travel is a mandatory component of the fellowship.
